IPOS Views on Care
Views on Care (VoC) can be used as a supplement to IPOS. It assess patient's own ratings of their quality of life, their view of the impact of the service on their principle problem(s) and their overall wellbeing. In order to overcome the problem of response shift, Views on Care asks patients to recall how they felt at an earlier time and to make their own comparison with how they feel currently.
The Views on Care measure was derived in collaboration with the St Christopher's hospice team, from the St Christopher's Index of Patient Priorities (SKIPP) tool, designed by Julia Addington Hall (University of Southampton) and St Christopher's Hospice1.
