Training resources to improve palliative care integration and access
These resources aim to improve access to palliative care through improved understanding and evidence sharing.
Led by Mevhibe Hocaoglu, Irene Higginson and colleagues from the CovPall team, the resources were co-developed through workshops informed by the Knowledge to Action Framework, reviewing research findings including from POS evidence on symptom management in the CovPall study, and engaging patient representatives, public members, and key stakeholders.
Designed for both the public and senior health and social care leads, particularly those in Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), community partners and involved in health and care planning and policy in other countries these free, user-friendly materials include: an infographic, Palliative Care for the Treatment of Complex Symptoms, and a short film illustrating palliative care's role in managing complex symptoms.
More information about the CovPall project can be found on this KCL page CovPall: Rapid Evaluation of the COVID-19 Pandemic Response in Palliative & End of Life Care | King's College London.
A copy of the infographic, Palliative Care for the Treatment of Complex Symptoms, is reproduced below the video and can be also found at this link.
The short film is embedded below and a direct link is here.
